Holding the pedigree of IAAF Silver Label and considered as one of the foremost road running events in the world, the 33rd edition of Eurasia Marathon has been organised in İstanbul on October 16th of 2011. Under the patronage of İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality and İstanbul Governorship and the managerial supervision of İstanbul Metropalitan Municipality Spor A.Ş. , this event has been run with the participation of more than 40.000 runners, of which 9.100 of them do wear chips for electronic timing.
